ReActLED

My First official Arduino project…The bigger on will be ready in a few months..Although it runs on a borrowed processing code..I am trying hard to learn the same these days..But i have figured it out its uses the FFT Library and the famous Minim library to generate a waveform..which is converted to a PWM Sequence and ultimately sent to the board…

Enjoy>>>

See and let me know how you find it!

The Dimmer

Dimmer from Indian Tinker on Vimeo.

I was wondering a few months back if i cud control my rooms lighting with just a mouse move…i found whole lot of complex code on the internet that made me halt..until i reached the Eg. of a Dimmer..

I build this one where i just open a java Applet on my PC and adjust the brightness of the Led( On the prototype..although i have ordered the 1W led)..

Into the technicalities a bit..i send a value based on my mouse co-ordinates to the uC and it changes the intensity of the led using PWM….

Im currently building a FFT based audio spectrum analyser..Hope it gets completed soon

I did this quite a while back..However if anyone needs the code..you can ask for the same in the comment box!

LDR Theremin

Now wats a theremin:

well don`t bother to wiki it as i have what it says:

The theremin originally known as the aetherphone/etherophone, thereminophone or termenvox/thereminvox is an earlyelectronic musical instrument controlled without discernible physical contact from the player. It is named after its Russian inventor, Professor Léon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928. The controlling section usually consists of two metal antennas which sense the position of the player’s hands and control oscillators for frequency with one hand, and amplitude (volume) with the other, so it can be played without being touched. The electricsignals from the theremin are amplified and sent to a loudspeaker.

This physical contact can be a physical quantity in my case its light intensity ..which is measured using an LDR.

The pitch is controlled based on the analog value obtained from the microcontroller using ADC and the volume control is optional and possible with a 1k Pot.

The video shows my theremin although i was not quite able to play it ..ahmm i managed to get that classic scottish sound and also that of a police vehicle..
